Ah, that sweet newborn smell. It never gets old. You know what else never gets old? Photographing first-time parents. The emotions are brand new to them. The baby smell is brand new to them. And yeah- the extreme sleep deprivation is typically brand new to them, as well. It's such an honor to be a fly on the wall at such an intimate, life-changing moment.
This adorable little girl was SO sweet... As long as she was snuggled and warm, she was perfectly happy. As soon as I took her out of her comfy swaddle, I became enemy number one. She was not at all happy with me or my big, dumb camera (it's all good though, baby girl... I'm used to it! 😂)
Watching first-time parents struggle to figure out how the heck to keep baby's arms locked down in the swaddle always cracks me up... it totally reminds me of my experience with my first baby!
Mom and Dad were shocked by how much hair she had- they called it a "pleasant and wholly unexpected surprise"... Ha ha.
This girl was snuggly, calm, and absolutely perfect in every way. We're best friends- I mean, she doesn't know it yet, but we are. I assure you. 😉
