There is truly nothing quite like those first 48 hours in the hospital. The room is quiet, the air is filled with that unmistakable, brand-new baby scent, and a family’s whole world has just shifted in the most beautiful way.

I recently had the absolute joy of capturing a Fresh 48 session at Spanish Fork Hospital, and this little newborn girl completely stole my heart.


From the moment I arrived, she was the sleepiest little dream. In fact, she was so deeply asleep that she only cracked one eye open once just to see what all the fuss was about! Other than that brief peek, she slept peacefully through the entire session- diaper pictures, getting dressed, my dumb jokes... everything.

Because she was so wonderfully relaxed, I was able to capture some truly adorable, snuggly poses that most babies just won't tolerate when they're wide awake. Every little detail, from her tiny fingers and toes to the way she curled up naturally, was just perfection.

Mom and Dad were completely smitten. Big brother was... underwhelmed. He was more interested in the dinosaur sticker I gave him than his baby sister... And honestly, that's part of the charm! The whole family will look back and laugh at brother's indifference one day.


These quiet, unposed moments go by in a blur, which is why capturing them right there in the hospital room is so special. Congratulations to this sweet family of four!
