Stop everything- because I’m pretty sure I just photographed the actual, literal Gerber Baby. (No, seriously, does he have an agent?) His mom has been documenting monthly milestones for his big first birthday bash, and I managed to snag the "Month Nine" slot on his very busy social calendar.
Since life has been a little chaotic for my friend lately, we decided to keep things low-key and stick to one spot in the living room. I leaned heavily into some creative angles, wide apertures, and a little "strategic blurring" in post-production—mostly so she didn’t feel the need to deep-clean the entire first floor just for me. Consider it my professional gift to her!
This kid? SO. CUTE. He’s chunky, happy, and has these sparkly blue eyes that belong on a billboard. He spent the session toggling between "Professional Male Model" and "I Am Deeply Offended by This Woman’s Large Camera." Honestly, if a stranger pointed a giant lens at my face while I was trying to chill, I’d probably pout, too.
There is something so special about in-home sessions. I love capturing a home exactly as it is in a specific moment. Living spaces change so fast— (sometimes overnight if a toddler is involved!) and it’s such a sweet "time capsule" to look back on how things used to be. Plus, you don’t even have to put on real shoes. Total win.
